Nishinomiya City Kitayama Green Botanical Garden

I visited the garden with my wife, son and in-laws. One of my new-year-resolutions is "to walk around my town Nishinomiya", this visiting is part of them.

Shukugawa river

Shukugawa river in front of the Garden is very small because the garden is located in the middle of a mountain.

Mountain cherry tree

Mountain cherry tree near the entrance gate.

Weeping cherry tree

Splendid weeping cherry tree.
In Japan, in the first week of April, many people gather near cherry blossom trees to appreciate them, so sometimes you miss a place to look at cherry blossoms because of congestions.
I learned if I visit this garden in the third week of April, I can appreciate the cherry blossoms without congestion.

Veronica flowers

I found pretty flowers named Veronica. The name reminded me of Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney because they composed an excellent song of the same name.

Pansy and tulip

Decent pansy and unique tulip.
I think that one of the good points of this garden is the staff have good sense to mix such breeding flowers with wild plants.

Chinese monument

This monument was presented by Shaoxing City of China, which is a friendship town of my town, Nishinomiya.

Lunch

Lunch.

Japanese-style lodge

Japanese-style lodge for official guests from foreign countries.

We enjoyed many beautiful flowers in this compact garden at the best season for flowers.
I think that this garden is good for families because not only do they have pretty flowers but they also have a their kitchen garden and free spaces for relaxing and having lunch.

I like this garden too! You get to see sakura and tulip and get to have picnic at the same time, it's wonderful. Nishinomiya is near to Osaka ?

Thanks for your comment. Nishinomiya is near to Osaka. You can visit to this garden by Hankyu Railway (Umeda to Shukugawa, 15 minutes) and by bus (20 minutes). I hope you enjoy this garden.

Dear friend, wonderful photographs for a really beautiful place. I wish Spain wasn't so far from this place (let's trust in evolution of spaceships). A delicate corner to feed our calmness, our peace. Thanks for sharing this walk.

I am Chinese person from Sichuan and I always love your posting about Japanese cities, your postings about Japanese cities always make me feel so eager to go back to Japan.

I have already made comments about your posting of Shirakawa-Go city. Now, I would like to tell you my impression about this city that posted on this posting.

I think Nishinomiya also looks beautiful and lovely, love all the pictures about Nishinomiya that you have posted here. The gardens are very soothing and adorable to look at, I wish there are more and more Chinese cities with nice looking gardens instead of concrete buildings. And btw, I also love the traditional monument from Shaoxing that you posted here, I admire the beautiful structure of the roof. And btw, I also would like to tell you that Shaoxing is always famous for its wine.

I have a question for you, is Nishinomiya really your hometown? Because when I read your biography on your blog, you stated that you hometown is at Nishinomiya. If Nishinomiya is really your hometown, well I would like to say that you are really blessed, I am so happy that you could enjoy life in such a beautiful city.

Japanese cities to me are all beautiful to look at, I wish Chinese cities could be just as beautiful as any Japanese cities. Japanese cities to me are not only clean but also very well maintained and organized, I think the Chinese should emulate the Japanese hygiene practice and tidiness in order to make China becomes a well-developed country.

And btw, I also have a question for you, which Chinese city that you like the most?

Thank you very much for your comments as usual.

My current residence place is Nishinomiya. I was born and had lived for 25 years in Nara, then I moved to Nishinomiya because my company's dormitory was located in this city. My wife and I came to love the city, therefore we bought our house here.

It takes only 15 minutes from Osaka, the second biggest metropolitan area in Japan, to Nishinomiya, but the city has much nature. It has both easy access to the big city and a good environment to dwell in. In addition, the city is well-known for Koshien, the biggest baseball field in Japan (the symbolic word about all-genre tournaments in Japan), and a very old shrine which has over-1700-years-long history and many breweries of Sake.

I'm glad to read your comment about Japanese cities being beautiful, but I think that they have many problems as well. The biggest one is electric cables. If you look at the sky in Japanese cities, you will see many cables which run the scenes of cities. Many Japanese people have pointed out this problem for a long time but it is still unsolved.

My favorite Chinese cities are Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong. (detail; my comment to another entry http://yositeru.blogspot.jp/2015/09/shirakawa-go-traditional-houses-in.html?showComment=1472369420791#c4385431142719101786)

I also would like to visit Beijing, Guilin and Suzhou, the city you introduced to me.

Your welcome, it is my utmost pleasure to read your reply.

Well, I could understand about the problems in regards to the Japanese cities that you said, I also notice them when I went to Japan. I could see that you are very proud of your own Japanese cities but on the same time you don't deny the problems that happened within your cities. I also proud of my own Chinese cities but on the same time I don't want to deny all the problems that happened within the Chinese cities, especially within the Chinese cities that I love the most.

And the least is Japanese cities' problems are still nothing compared to the problems that happened within the Chinese cities. Any Chinese cities are worse than any Japanese cities in terms of maintenance and the civility level of the population. I find Japanese cities to be so much better maintained than any Chinese cities. And the most important is, the people within any Japanese cities are much more civilized and have much better moral behaviours than the people within any Chinese cities.

If any Chinese cities could be just as well maintained and as clean as any Japanese cities, then I would feel so happy to live in China. And the most important thing is, if the people within any Chinese cities could be just as civilized and have good moral behaviours as the people within the Japanese cities then I would be more proud of China.

There are so many potentials could be found within China, the Chinese must use the potentials within China for the good instead of bad so China could be a respected country like Japan.

It is so happy to communicate with you here, I hope you could understand what I am saying. Have a nice day.

As you wrote, there is so much potential could be found within China. Many Chinese heritages (for example, The Forbidden City Museum) and nature spots (for example, Jiuzhaigou) are treasure of the world. It must be so important to maintain them.
